Mindfulness is the practice of purposely focusing your attention on the present moment—and accepting it without judgment. Mindfulness is now being examined scientifically and has been found to be a key element in stress reduction and overall happiness. It also helps us cultivate resilience by remembering our values, and recognizing our challenges and struggles and that we have the inner resources to get back up on our feet by not taking things to personally.
It most importantly helps us to communicate with presence and allows us to truly listen to ourselves. Once you remember that you have all you need within you, and that you are able to achieve everything you want with the right mindset, you will be unstoppable.
Anyone with any belief system can enjoy the benefits of mindfulness which are based on research -- Mindfulness is not a religion. It is a state of mind.
